    and also an argument for school being stupid expensive makes people do stupid things/take advantage of the system [not that straight couples don’t do the same].
    Just like “Breaking Bad” argues that the health care is so whack you have to sell meth to afford it.
    fun stuff.

    1. They assume (probably incorrectly) that a married couple is more likely to pay off their loans. Dual income, perceived responsibility, etc. So, if you get married you get subsidized loans.

      Fafsa, on the other hand, looks at it more as a ‘you’re married, so you have twice the mouths to feed’, kinda thing. Going on the assumption that marriage = kids, and higher demand for money.
