    1. Did you mean Martin? Cuz if you did, I don’t think he’s that busy with HBO. I think he just got rich and lazy.

    2. These comments were funnier than the actual article pics. You all should write SNL; they could do with something funny nowadays. 😛

    3. “Officially” Lord of the Rings (and the other works of Tolkien) are translations from an “original source”.
So, Tolkien (as you imply) realyl thougt about this problem and in the backstory of his books these books were originally in Sindarin or something like that.

  1. That has actually brought me out of a story before: “Why did they use that word? How do they know that word? That word shouldn’t exist in this world.”

Also, I would like to marry the man at the bachelor party.

  2. I think the worst trespass of out of place words was on HBO’s show “Rome”.

Someone called Julius Caesar a “brute”.

Pretty sure that word didn’t exist for at least a few more episodes…

    1. Another one was in Marco Polo, when he says “go google it”, totally lacking in historical context, IMO.

    1. But you didn’t do it the same way….you cheated. You are a filthy, lying, no good CHEATER!!!!

      Just like Hillary Clinton.

    2. A) you scrambled the letters
      B) There’s no U in her name
      C) “hitler cunt” is a stupid & not as effective as “don’t”

    3. Yeah, but the funny thing is, you don’t need to do anything to Donald Drumpf to see Hitler Cunt, you just need to see a picture of him

  3. Jim Carrey Adam Sandle Will Ferrell ass up?

Never EVER put Jim Carrey in with those other two. Jim is on a whole other comedic level.

  4. I think about that language thing a lot. But mostly I think nobody really cares unless you’re using really jarringly out of place slang – like your fantasy world is similar to medieval England but someone says “Wow, Jennifer, that’s like, ugh, gag me with a spoon, jeez”, that would be too much.
