Artist Matt Rule has a unique approach to tattooing that combines cartoons with amazing realism to startling effect. He takes, for instance, the simple colors and shapes of the Garfield cartoon to create the iconic character’s eyes, but the rest of the cat’s head is inked in breathtaking photorealism. The French tattooist’s seriously cool work — which has garnered him nearly 190K followers on Instagram — is impossible not to look at.
