We have a natural inclination to care about big things. When you’re a kid that’s basically the only thing that adults have over you. Then, after you grow up, you’ve got to find new big things. Move to the big city, get a big trick, make a lot of big mistakes. But what’s really fascinating is to see things you know are supposed to be little that are actually huge. A giant rubber ducky is just wonderful, and way more interesting than a big mountain. Mountains are supposed to be big, who cares.
