Gifts from kids are usually not even from the kid, but just one of the parents saying it is. How can you tell? Well, gifts from adults tend to be well thought out and have some semblance of usefulness. Gifts from kids? Not so much. But that doesn’t make them less worthwhile — quite the opposite, in fact. Gifts from kids are often brilliantly funny because they haven’t developed that whole “social norms” thing yet. And who needs that? You should be able to give people a birthday card that just reminds them they’re going to die.
