When you hear these old words your first reaction is going to be “okay, that sounds funny, but I’ll never say it”. But just try. Say Fudgel out loud. It feels great, rolls right off the tongue. And by tomorrow you’ll be throwing around 16th century slang like nobody’s business. Why did we ever stop using these old words? My theory is that they were too powerful and probably got used too much. Thankfully, history hasn’t forgotten them.
