Being a teacher today takes a lot of work. Not only do you have to stay on top of forever-changing curriculums and standards, but you also need to keep your students interested in the classroom and not their phones. So, how do you do that?
A lot of teachers have moved towards incorporating pop culture and social media into their classroom to show kids that hey, we’re not all washed up and out of touch. Memes, GIFs, and even YouTube videos have become a staple of some classrooms and the more teachers keep up with the times, the more students feel their teachers just “get them.”
One teacher’s brilliant idea is going viral on Twitter after she decided to use a popular childhood Cardi B meme to make hall passes. The teacher, whose name is apparently Ms. Newby, is actually a genius.
People who saw the idea on Twitter were obsessed with it and speaking highly of Ms. Newby.
Teachers that put in effort and actually love their jobs deserve more 💯
