It’s nice to finally see someone developing an AI that doesn’t have the potential to murder us all. Most of the intelligent robots I’ve seen in the news lately look like they’re a step before Skynet. The last one I saw could run, do flips, and even open doors. And let’s not forget about this:
The “There’s Waldo” Robot is a simple robot that uses a mechanical arm and face recognition software to find the elusive childhood icon. Even though it’s programmed to scan all of the faces and find Waldo within seconds, I still feel kind of embarrassed about 8 year old me scanning pages for hours and coming up empty.

While this robot may seem useless, think about the future applications. Today: Waldo. Tomorrow: Bigfoot.
