The people who stand behind President Donald Trump at his rallies are there for a reason—they’ve got to appear like enthusiastic, committed fans of Trump. They can’t stand out or call attention to themselves or in any way detract from Trump’s performance. Like, for example, this guy in plaid, who somehow ended up standing directly behind Trump at his rally in Billings, Montana. He reacted to Trump’s rambling about the electoral vote (STILL??) with altogether too honest facial expressions. He’s perfect and hilarious and obviously had to be replaced.
This hilarious, too-candid guy behind Trump was deemed an unsuitable background prop by the Trump choreographers. He was replaced (see next tweet) with someone who could actually feign enthusiasm for Dear Leader.

Please join me in marveling at the perfection of this facial expression:
It’s hard to figure out what the guy was actually doing there in the first place because his reactions to Trump don’t peg him as a Trumpster. He even mouths the word “What?” at one point. Perhaps the whole thing was a joke? Maybe he was just there to get paid? But however it happened, he was quickly removed and replaced with a much less conspicuous woman.
Here he is being replaced (and he's not the only one).
“Kimmy, could we get someone in from the cattle call to replace the too-honest guy in the plaid? He’s a crisis. We need an actor!”pic.twitter.com/EEP4XdksG4

The woman, as someone else pointed out, was actually a Trump staffer, so one assumes she’s been professionally trained in how to stand behind a raving lunatic without making incredulous faces.
The tweet has, unsurprisingly, gotten a lot of attention on Twitter.
