When we’re young, we always tend to believe just about anything we’re told–even if it seems absolutely ridiculous. Sometimes, our parents will tell us things just to make us behave better, other times people tell us things to trick us.
Kids are definitely gullible, so, it makes sense that we fall for just about anything. Recently, Ross McClearly asked Twitter users to share the “ridiculous” things they believed as a kid, sharing his own–thinking that the two teams on University Challenge were stacked one on top of the other like the way it’s cut together.
Where’s that ‘ridiculous things you believed as a kid’ thread? Because I just remembered that I used to think the two teams on University Challenge were stacked one on top of the other like the way it’s cut together.

Other Twitter users also believed some super ridiculous stuff.

My mum told us that orange juice was the stickiest substance known to man and they used it to glue rockets together. One of my siblings announced this to their class at primary school. 🤦♀️

As a child I thought “full” from eating meant you were full of food from your head to your toes. So when I was eating I would say “I’m this full” and like put my hand on my body where depending on how full I thought it was of food 😂😂

I thought that other kids got to keep watching TV shows during the commercials I saw. I seem to recall resenting that.
