Online dating is always a gamble, especially in the age of swiping apps like Tinder and Bumble—you never know what you’re going to get. Once you’ve matched with someone there’s no telling what the opening line will be. Personally, I like to start off with a cute gif or just a boring ‘hey’, nothing too clever, but when the other person starts the convo all bets are off.
Tinder has given singles a place to try any and all of their best/worst/most disturbing pickup lines without the embarrassment of in-person reactions. These are just a few of the most clever, funny and downright “out there” lines we’ve seen so far, though we can’t imagine someone having the balls to say them offline.
