Pornhub’s Annual Review Is Out And This Is How Nasty Y’all Were In 2018

The New Year is only a few short weeks away which means it’s time to reflect on the utter sh*t show that was 2018. With the overwhelming amount of political scandal and corruption that dominated our newsfeeds this year, it’s no surprise that we often turned our attention to other corners of the internet in desperate hopes of escape.

Many of you, apparently, found your reprieve in the depraved depths of Pornhub. Before you go denying anything, the popular adult site has just released its year-end review and it’s definitive proof that we were all pretty horny in 2018.

Every year, Pornhub releases its end of year review which showcases all of the site’s most interesting stats and data including the number of visitors, most frequented genres, and so on.

This year marks the 6th annual Year in Review in which Pornhub shares their most popular trends and insights with the world.

So, let’s take a look at 2018’s highlights, shall we?

1. There were 33.5 billion visits to Pornhub this year—which is 5 billion more than last year.

2. An average of 92 million people visited Pornhub a day.

3. There were a total of 30.3 billion searches so far this year, which is 962 searches every second.

4. Unsurprisingly, the U.S. topped the list of countries with the highest traffic.

5. However, the U.S. comes in third for the length of time spent on site per visit. Apparently, the Philippines like to take it slow…

6. Every minute of the day, an average of 207,405 videos were watched.

7. ‘How is there enough porn?’ you might ask. Well, almost 5 million videos were uploaded to Pornhub in 2018, totaling a million hours of content altogether.

8. There were almost 8 million comments on videos this year and more than 141 video votes.

9. The searches that defined 2018 included Stormy Daniels, Fortnite, Bowsette, and more.

10. But the terms topping off the most searched list were ‘lesbian’, ‘hentai’, and ‘milf’.

11. There was a 29% increase in the proportion of female visitors worldwide.

12. And 71.6% of viewers watched porn on their phone in comparison with the 19.7% on tablet and 8.7% on desktop.

13. Drastic changes in site traffic often occur during major events or holidays. In the U.S., New Year’s Eve saw a 38% drop in traffic last year and Valentine’s Day had a 7% increase in visitors.
