Today in Germany, a rat with a little extra winter fat got herself stuck while trying to pass through a sewer grate. With Pizza Rat still fresh in our minds, we’ve all been waiting for our next internet darling…and here she is.

An entire crew of firefighters showed up on the scene to free the rotund rodent, and it wasn’t long before people took notice.
They were finally able to prop the grate up and get a better angle to free Rat-chel, which is what I’ve decided to name her.
Someone even got the whole thing on video.
Even though most people consider rats vermin, It’s nice to see folks treating an animal in need with respect and dignity. These firefighters are heroes.
