First, I think it’s important to distinguish between putting someone down and talking shit. It’s wrong to say something cruel about someone else just to make them feel bad. Talking shit, especially in the event of a truely rare insult, is saying something funny about someone else at their expense. I feel like the line between the two has been somewhat blurred recently.
A great example is number one on today’s list. The Comedy Central Roasts.
