Instagram Artist Transforms Coffee Stains Into Cute Lil Monsters (30 Pics)

Coffee gives energy and a daily kick-start to millions of creative, hardworking people every day, but it can also result in a nasty spill when shaky, wired hands upset the cup.

Luckily German artist Stefan Kuhnigk has cleverly turned those spills into happy accidents by transforming the stains into art. Specifically Kuhnigk doodles his coffee spills into cute little “coffee monsters,” transmogrifying each little mess into a unique creation.

Kuhnigk catalogs the creations on his Instagram page and his coffee art has spawned a book called The Coffee Monsters as well as t-shirts, prints, and, of course, coffee mugs.

Here are some of his cutest and most caffeinated creations.
