NASCAR Driver With No Wins Gets Trolled For Quitting In Protest Of Confederate Flag Ban

After NASCAR announced this week that they would no longer allow any Confederate flags at their events, people are roasting a driver who announced he would be quitting all NASCAR events in retaliation.

For most people, the most shocking thing about learning NASCAR was banning the symbol of the failed pro-slavery insurrection against the United States of America was that the Confederate flag wasn’t already banned from NASCAR events.

But for someone named Ray Ciccarelli, the announcement was apparently shocking in its…censorship? He’s definitely angry about not being able to fly “what ever flag,” but he’s also angry about people “kneeling during Anthem,” so maybe this is less of a defending freedom of speech scenario and more of a defending racism scenario.

Here’s what he had to say:

Luckily for Ciccarelli, he doesn’t seem to have much of a career to lose.

Ray Ciccarelli nascar, nascar confederate flag

Luckily for us, his poor record also made for really, really easy jokes.

While it seems likely nobody ever had fun watching him race, the internet sure had fun dunking on him.

Most people agree Ciccarelli needs to brush up on his education if he’s going to take such a strong stance.

Also…why was it signed Sarah Ciccarelli??

Ah, well. So long, Ray!
