I’ve never thought about the fact that historical figures like Thomas Jefferson and Charles Dickens have descendants living today but I’m an idiot. I also had no idea the Mona Lisa was a painting of a real person. Thanks to photographer Drew Gardner and his passion for history, we can actually see a sid-by-side portrait of these historical figures with their direct descendants as models.
