Good woodworking is so satisfying to watch. The precision. The skill. The detail. All of it. I’ll watch woodworking videos and look at cool woodworking pics for hours, but have never once tried. I live in a studio apartment that can only fit one wood. So, for now, this will have to do.

1. Built my first canoe.

2. I made my second Motorcycle from Popsicle Sticks.

3. Laundry room thing the wife wanted. 3/4” Walnut plywood with a pine frame. Used 1/8th walnut as veneer.

4. I’m building a playhouse for my kids, based on Link’s house in the game Breath of the Wild. Here is my progress on it so far!

5. I made a “busy board” for my nephew, and it’s been his favorite thing on the planet for six months.

6. Maiden Voyage of my first cedar strip canoe! No kit, no plans, no staples.

7. A bar for a clients basement.

8. My $25 dollar sunglasses broke. Does this count as woodworking?

9. Not every project has to be beautiful.

10. I carved a wooden Octopus who looks like he’s scared of swimming.

11. My first chair, a copy of Wegner’s CH25.

12. Art Nouveau door installed, approximately 300 hours of work.

13. Made a folding workbench for my garage.

14. My first project done, made from an oak tree that fell during Hurricane Harvey.

15. We built a redwood deck to hold a gazebo. No more desolate dirt corner.

16. Just finished up this Walnut and leather armchair.

17. It’s almost finished, just some more sanding and finishing to go!!

18. Just finished my little cottage. If you need me I’ll be lost in the woods for awhile.
