My life is a compilation of awkward moments. I worked at a clothing store for a while and one year, the day after Christmas, a guy came in to return 2 sweaters that were clearly a gift for someone because he had a gift receipt. In an effort to make small talk and potentially do an exchange I asked, “Would you like to exchange them for another item?” He replied, “No thanks, she broke up with me. I’d just like my money back.”
We just stood there awkwardly while I finished the transaction. I still think about that guy to this day. Especially after reading these awkward moments as told by people on Twitter.
