Reading this Twitter thread about crazy holiday shoppers by former grocery store manager @dylan_thyme is bringing back memories and I’m grateful to not have to deal with any Thanksgiving Karens this year. I worked at a grocery store for 5 years and every Thanksgiving, we’d be much busier than normal. I’d have to deal with rude holiday shoppers for no reason other than their lack of planning ahead for the holidays.
I’m kind of glad I have an air-tight excuse to not go to a big gathering on Thanksgiving this year, although I understand how it’s a tough decision for some. These stories are crazy and I hope that we can all remember to be kind to the people who are showing up to work during the holiday season.
