Self Care Sunday (15 Pics)

One of the most difficult things to do in adult life is to take good care of yourself. As your responsibilities stack higher and higher, most people’s instinct is to put yourself last. Don’t do that.

What do they tell you during the pre-flight instructions? Attach your oxygen mask before helping others. If you aren’t in good shape, how do you expect to help others effectively. Take care of yourself.

1. Time is going to pass whether you want it to or not, you might as well be productive.

2. List making works. Start with a small list full of easy tasks. Then add one hard thing and progress from there. Make a plan.

3. The most useful thing I’ve learned in therapy. It sounds ridiculous but it works if you try it in earnest.

4. Baby steps. Progress is progress, no matter how small.

5. Do you make up fake problems when things are actually going well? Be honest.

6. From a dude who had a pretty good reason to give up.

7. Good thing to remember these days.

8. “Don’t say I’m a failure, instead say this was a failed attempt. Failure is an event, not a person.”

9. Take the lesson and move on.

10. Actions speak so much louder than words. DO.

11. While it is important to take lessons from your past don’t dwell. Only fools trip over what is behind them.

12. Remember how you say the world before it started trying to kill you every day?

13. Be present. Maybe the hardest thing to do.

14. It isn’t too late.

15. Make the best of the hand you’re dealt. What are you gonna do, fold?
