One of the most difficult things to do in adult life is to take good care of yourself. As your responsibilities stack higher and higher, most people’s instinct is to put yourself last. Don’t do that.

What do they tell you during the pre-flight instructions? Attach your oxygen mask before helping others. If you aren’t in good shape, how do you expect to help others effectively? Take care of yourself.


1. One foot in front of the other.

2. If you’re feeling stagnate, make some moves. Shake things up.

3. Keep your eyes forward.

4. I know I’ve found this to be true. Not 100%, but pretty dang close.

5. Despair isn’t helping anyone. Especially yourself. Get moving.

6. You may think you don’t have the luxury of time. You do. Even if it is small, take it for yourself.

7. Those conversations with yourself in your head aren’t helping like you think they are.

8. While you shouldn’t dwell on the past it is important to appreciate how far you’ve come.

9. If you’ve made it this far, kudos.

10. It’s a good thing.

11. Don’t give up.

13. Fear stops so many people.
