An Icelandic tourist wanted to send a postcard to Rebecca Cathrine Kaad Ostenfeld, a farmer in Hólar in Hvammssveit but there was a problem. They didn’t know her address. So, what’s the next best thing? Draw a map on the envelope and hope for the best!
In place of the address, they wrote:
Country: Iceland
City: Búðardalur
Name: A horse farm with an Icelandic/Danish couple and three kids and a lot of sheep!’.
“Without an address, an Icelandic tourist drew this map of the intended location (Búðardalur) and surroundings on the envelope. The postal service delivered!”
According to a local newspaper, Skessuhornið, it arrived at the correct place!
