There’s a place online called “Reddit childfree” and it’s full of all kinds of truth bombs, sincere posts, and some funny stuff from child-free people.
I am currently living child-free and I have to say, I don’t hate it. Sure, being a parent is probably rewarding at times but see how they feel on the way to soccer practice on a Saturday morning off. Whenever one of my girlfriend’s friends has a baby, she starts to want one. I feel the same way about burritos.
These days, it’s becoming more common for people to choose to live child-free. I’m at that age where my friends are starting to have kids of their own. It’s exciting to see but I’m not ready for that yet.
I think it’s a personal matter between two people, which is why I’m always blown away by how comfortable people are asking people if they want to have kids or say things like, “When are you gonna have a baby?”
Not only is it none of your business, but you’ve also just ruined dinner. I don’t know if there’s any truth to this because I’m making it up right now, but I think that anyone who tries to put pressure on you to have a baby is just insecure about their own situation.
