Twitter user @makaylathinks tweeted that she use to work with someone who would tell customers it’s their first day any time they messed up and it prompted the rest of Twitter to reveal the funny lies they’ve told customers and the stories are amazing.
I love this because I’ve totally told someone it was my first day when it wasn’t, just so I didn’t look like an idiot. It’s the perfect lie until that person comes back and you forgot you already used it on them.
We’ve all worked a job we hate or at least dealt with awful customers. Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do to get through the day and if you have to tell funny lies to do that, then so be it, right?
