I think one of the most comforting things about life is realizing there will always be someone dumber than you. It doesn’t matter how smart you are, either. We all say dumb things from time to time. What’s important is that we’re willing to learn from those moments.
We all have a moment like this. For example, I was well into my adult life before I realized Cinco de Mayo literally means May 5th. Just one of the many dumb things I’ve said out loud around friends who will never let me forget that. Sometimes it takes me longer to connect the dots than it should. At the end of the day, at least I haven’t said anything this dumb.
