The nice thing about looking back is the further away you get, the cooler it seems. Although there have been plenty of trends and styles that people cringe to think about, we should still celebrate the old school cool kids from decades past.
They paved the way for all the cool kids today. Then one day they’ll be considered old school. Maybe. There’s no denying that Yeezy’s are going to look super weird in 2050. These people built the old school.
1. “My great grandfather, who fought in the Mexican revolution, pictured here in the early 1980s”
4. “My grandmother in 1935 when she was 14 years old. She was a working woman and mother her entire adult life. She was once the fastest typist (on a typewriter) in the state of Utah. When she was 90, I recorded a video of her dancing to Party Rock Anthem, which went viral in 2012. What a life.”
When he's not doomscrolling Twitter or writing for Pleated-Jeans, Nate Armbruster writes jokes—and then tells them on stage as a stand-up comedian, where he can watch audiences (hopefully) laugh in real-time.
