After losing 200,000 subscribers, Netflix CEO Reed Hastings revealed plans to implement an ad-supported subscription tier. As you can imagine, the remaining subscribers are not having it.
Netflix subscribers took to Twitter to air their frustrations with the idea of Netflix adding commercials. Some are threatening to cancel their subscription the second they see an ad on Netflix, and others are pointing out Netflix’s history of promising to never have commercials on the platform.
Netflix still has yet to announce what an ad-supported tier would cost, but it seems that no one really cares if Netflix adding commercials will make the price cheaper as well.
