Comedian Ariel Elias has gone viral for her handling of a pro-Trump heckler at her show at Uncle Vinnie’s Comedy Club in Point Pleasent Beach, New Jersey, last weekend.
As Elias performed her set, she decided to do some crowd work opening it up for a Q&A. This is when the woman from a rowdy group in the back raised spoke up and asked a question Ariel wasn’t expecting: “Did you vote for Donald Trump?”
As you will see in the video, things became immediately uncomfortable after the political question, and Elias responds by saying, “Why would you ask me that knowing I’m the only Jew in this room? Are you trying to get me killed?!”
The exchange went on. “So you voted for Biden?” the woman yells.
Elias responds, “I dunno. What does it matter?”
“Yes, you did!” the heckler replies. “I could just tell by your jokes you voted for Biden.”
“I can tell by the fact that you’re still talking when nobody wants you to that you voted for Trump,” Elias respond, drawing laughter and cheers from the audience.
The woman then complains that the club owner asked her to stop talking, and Elias responds by asking the crowd to make some noise if they want the heckler to shut up and the crowd went wild.
As Elias started to continue with her prepared material, a beer can is thrown, just barely missing her and hitting the brick wall behind her.
People in the audience are heard saying, “Oh my god!”, “You can’t do that!”, and “Are you fucking kidding me?!”
In shock, that’s when Aerial chugged the beer, that was thrown and was met with loud cheering and applause by the audience.
The video of Elias dealing with an unhinged heckler has racked up millions of views across social media as of Monday.
