When you imagine what a dinosaur looks like, you probably think of a scary dragon-like creature that we typically see in movies like Jurassic Park. However, scientists say it’s not entirely accurate.
Hollywood’s portrayal of dinosaurs is essentially fossils with skin draped over them. They left out the parts of the body that add to the image such as layers of fat among other things.
This led paleoartists John Conway and C.M. Kosemen to draw modern animals we know in the way that Hollywood portrays dinosaurs and they’re hardly recognizable.
