Januhairy is an annual event that was created by Laura Jackson in 2018 to encourage women to embrace their body hair.
The goal of Januhairy is to promote body positivity and acceptance of female body hair. Participants in Januhairy are sponsored to let their body hair grow out for a month as part of the event.
Similar to the Movember campaign, which promotes the growth of mustaches in November to raise awareness of men’s health concerns such as prostate and testicular cancer, and male suicide.
