Retail workers have a reputation for being grumpy and rude, but they aren’t always like that. Sometimes they would just go out of their way to help you out even if it means bending the rules and breaking their policies.
For example, Twitter user Apex Redditor got a military discount after he told the cashier that he is, in fact, not in the military. The cashier pretended not to hear that and allowed the person to save some money.
