That’s exactly what happened to one contestant on a recent episode of Wheel of Fortune.

The category was “Food & Frink,” and the partially revealed puzzle read

“WARM TOASTED BA_ELS WITH LO_ AND CREAM CHEESE.”

Angie, the contestant, confidently declared that she was ready to solve the puzzle. But instead of nailing it, she made a blunder that left viewers in stitches.

“Warm toasted bagels with low and cream cheese,” she said.

Low? As in, the opposite of high? It was a moment of pure confusion that left host Pat Sajak and fellow contestant Nina stunned. Nina, who had been waiting patiently for her turn to solve the puzzle, quickly jumped in with the correct answer: “Warm toasted bagels with lox and cream cheese.”

For those who don’t know, “lox” is a term for cured salmon that comes from the Yiddish word “laks,” meaning “salmon.” It’s a common ingredient in bagel sandwiches, but it seems that Angie wasn’t familiar with the term.

Despite the embarrassing slip-up, Angie still walked away with $7,300 in prize money. And to be fair, “low” and cream cheese doesn’t sound like the worst combination in the world. But viewers on social media couldn’t resist poking fun at her mistake.

“Low and cream cheese? What kind of bagel are you eating, Angie?” one person tweeted. “I think I’ll pass.”

Another joked, “Angie just made me spit out my coffee. Low and cream cheese!?”

In the end, it was a hilarious moment that left everyone in good spirits. And who knows, maybe “low” and cream cheese will become the new bagel trend. We can only hope.
