Is it OK to use memes to make sense of the dark, terrible things happening in the world?
I don’t know. But gallows humor is certainly not new, and I’ve stopped judging what other people find funny.
Do these dark memes take it too far? Too soon? You betcha. But if you’re smiling but dead inside, chances are you’ll find them at least a little funny.
