CEO Allegedly takes $6.4M Bonus, Then Yells At Employees For Asking About Their Canceled Bonuses

In a day where it seems like all you hear about is the rich getting over on the poor, this recent story does look good for a change in that trend.

The CEO of high-end office-furniture company MillerKnoll was recently seen scolding employees for complaining about their cancelled bonus after allegedly taking a $6.4M bonus.

It started with a leaked Zoom call during a MillerKnoll town hall meeting last month. the CEO, Andi Owen, attempted to address concerns from employees about their cancelled bonuses, but it very quickly turned into a wildly out of touch scolding about not being complainers.

Of course, not only were the employees furious, once it hit Twitter people really pilled on. I mean, rightly so, right? This is the kind of stuff that has people so upset with the upper class.

The CEO and Owner of Herman Miller and Knoll brands addressed employees by saying, “Questions came through about, ‘How can we stay motivated if we’re not going to get a bonus…What can we do? What can we do?’”

She went on, “Some of them were nice, and some of them were not so nice.”

“I’m going to address this head on. The most important thing we can do right now is focus on the things that we can control.”

“None of us could’ve predicted COVID, none of us could’ve predicted supply chain (problems), none of us could’ve predicted bank failures.”

“But what we can do, is stay in front of our customers, provide the best customer service we can, get our orders out our door, treat each other well, be kind, be respectful, focus on the future, because it will be bright.”

Then the meeting took a turn. And not a fun one like on a ride. A scary one like alligators to when they kill you.

“Don’t ask about, ‘What are we going to do if we don’t get a bonus?’ Get the damn $26 million dollars.”

“Spend your time and your effort thinking about the $26 million dollars we need and not thinking about what you’re going to do if you don’t get a bonus. Alright? Can I get some commitment for that?”

“I had an old boss who said, ‘You can visit pity city, but you can’t live there’”

“So, people, leave pity city! Let’s get it done.”

Now, this obviously all went over like a lead balloon, but once the bonus info hit Twitter, things really got cooking. The CEO of the Michigan-based company has to be feeling the heat.

Considering what Andi Owen’s bonus was, people are furious.
