Whenever a customer loudly complains, my initial thought is, “Oh man, we’ve got a Karen over here,” but sometimes they have a point. Particularly when food allergies are involved.
So, there was this mother-and-daughter duo who stopped into their local coffee joint where the barista refused to make the coffee correctly by using whole milk, which was a problem because the mother is lactose intolerant.
Despite multiple attempts to fix the order, the barista just couldn’t seem to get it right. The mother ended up having to get pretty vocal about it.
The whole ordeal was eventually sorted out by another barista, but the fact that the barista refused to make the coffee correctly didn’t sit right with them, and they explained why in a story shared on Reddit.
