Construction Manager Resigns After Boss Responds To Complaints Of Heavy Workload By Adding Even More Work

Work can be stressful, particularly for construction managers who have to deal with tight deadlines and unpredictable weather delays.

For one construction manager, their workload became unbearable. Despite informing their VP boss repeatedly for a year and even reaching out to the company president, nothing was done to help alleviate the situation.

During a routine weekly meeting, the construction manager’s boss added two more projects to their already overflowing workload and explicitly stated that no extra help would be provided. In response, the manager immediately resigned.

The construction manager decided to share their experience on the well-known subreddit r/AntiWork, where they expressed their grievances and received an outpouring of support from readers in the comments section.
