“I Was Spending $1000/Month On DoorDash” — Customer Stocks House With Plasticware To Avoid Doing Dishes And To Kick Her DoorDash Habit

In recent years, food delivery apps like DoorDash and UberEats have revolutionized the way people order food. With just a few taps on a smartphone, you can have food from your favorite restaurants delivered right to your doorstep. While the convenience of these services is undeniable, there are also some downsides to consider.

Many people have found themselves relying too heavily on these apps, leading to a lack of control over what they eat and spending waaaaay more money than they intended.

This is the situation Tiktoker Yana Glo (@yummyyana) found herself in. As a self-proclaimed food delivery addict, she has taken drastic measures to curb her need for DoorDash, and switch to meal prepping at home.

“I was spending over $1,000 every month ordering on DoorDash when I suddenly remembered there’s food at the house.”

The Tiktok begins with her filling up a large bottle with lemonade.

“I needed to make it more convenient for me to eat. So I started off with some half gallon of Charged Lemonade because it’s cheaper to buy a half gallon and divvy it up along the week versus ordering larges every single day.”

“I got some single-serve containers to prep my breakfast in. They came with the little spoons—love that.”

“And then I also got some containers to make meal prepping a little easier, just to keep all my fruits and veggies in the same place so that it’s easier to snack on, or to incorporate it in any of my salads, meals, whatever.”

“This has all made it a lot easier honestly I’ve been eating in the house for a month y’all.”

So, I mean, I guess this is a step in the right direction, but what about all that plastic waste? Not to mention this isn’t exactly the healthiest stuff to be eating.
