Is this legal, you ask? Well, yes and no. Depending on what you sign, or what union you’re a part of, training should at least be paid for. The rest of the fees, as is screamed in the comments, sound like a scam.
I mean, yeah, technically they can charge you for most of this, but you don’t have to work there. Especially if it’s a restaurant environment. Run. They are going to make your life hell.
