Costco Shopper Says Employees “Rushed” And Then Banned His Mom As Soon As She Scanned Dad’s Membership Card

Costco is cracking down on people using other people’s membership cards to shop. The company is now requiring shoppers to show a photo ID when using a membership card at self-checkout registers. This is in an effort to prevent non-members from getting the benefits of a Costco membership without paying for one.

Recently, one Costco shopper, Angelo Castillo (@profitplug), shared a now viral Tiktok explaining how and why his mom got banned from one location.

He explains how his mom likes to go to Costco and use his dad’s membership card but now they are becoming more strict.

When his mom scanned the card at checkout employees “rushed” her asking for ID. When it didn’t match they told her she couldn’t come back to that location anymore.
