Barbie and Oppenheimer’s simultaneous release has sparked funny memes and discussions about the two films. People can’t help but notice how different these movies are. But actually, it’s a common trick in Hollywood called counter-programming.
They release two totally opposite movies to attract different crowds. Barbie is fun and bright, while Oppenheimer is more serious and dark. This way, they make sure everyone finds something they like and get the most viewers possible.
