I live in Austin, TX and, fun fact, it’s been in the 100s for over a month. And I don’t just mean like 100, for an hour then it dips back into the 90s. I mean, 108 and it stays that way from noon until the sun goes down.
But it’s not just Texas. From Louisiana to Virginia, a record heat wave maintains its grip as we enter these final dog days of summer.
Yes, I and other southerners fully accept that living in the South comes with its tradeoffs, and literally blistering heat and humidity is one of them, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still complain about it from time to time, and share some of the funniest memes about sweating in the excessive southern heat this summer.
