40+ Fresh Funny One-Panel Comics By Legendary Cartoonist Mark Parisi

Cartoonist Mark Parisi’s journey from the lovely town of Gloucester, Massachusetts, is a story sprinkled with humor right from the beginning. There’s a cheeky tale that even as a baby, doodles could be spotted inside his mom – though, let’s be honest, that’s probably just a fun legend.

After getting a graphic design degree from Salem State University, Mark joked that he was torn between two career paths: making us laugh with his cartoons or packing our groceries. Thankfully for all of us, he chose the world of cartoons.

Inspired by greats like Charles Schulz, the hilarious pages of MAD Magazine, and the quirky world of Gary Larson, Parisi started his “Off the Mark” comic back in 1987. Fast forward to today, and his brilliant work has fans all over the country, all thanks to Andrews McMeel’s national syndication.

So, gear up for some hearty laughs as you explore this new batch of 40+ cartoons by the ever-amusing Mark Parisi.

Nate Armbruster

When he's not doomscrolling Twitter or writing for Pleated-Jeans, Nate Armbruster writes jokes—and then tells them on stage as a stand-up comedian, where he can watch audiences (hopefully) laugh in real-time.
