Ahoy, you comedy aficionados and aficionadas. Why “ahoy,” you ask? Because we’re embarking on a sea of snark and wit courtesy of Will Santino’s one-panel universe. Yeah, yeah, we’ve said he’s a genius before, but let’s face it, the guy’s like the Nikola Tesla of cartoons, if Tesla doodled mythical creatures in between his electrical experiments.
Santino’s modus operandi involves turning the mundane into the hilariously absurd, often by sprinkling in some mythological creatures or historical events—like if Zeus used his lightning bolt for a stand-up routine instead of, you know, raining down celestial vengeance. And let’s be real, a vengeful god’s tirade could use a punchline or two.
The last time we featured Will, he was down a Wikipedia rabbit hole, fueled by artisanal coffee and an insatiable need to understand every corner of human absurdity. Turns out, that’s a fabulous recipe for humor. In the words of the man himself, “It’s about having inside jokes with yourself, then figuring out how to make other people in on the joke without, ya know, appearing completely insane.”
So, slap on your most skeptical smirk and prepare to feel like someone finally gets you, or at least makes you snort out your overpriced latte.
