Boomers love to post memes about the ills technology has wrought, usually featuring a couple of ugly cartoon characters whining about how kids need to put away those pesky phones. (Never mind how their entire generation is fooled by AI-generated images and entirely fabricated news stories, which is probably the most harmful thing about technology happening today, but I digress).
You’ll spot these memes every time your weird aunt decides to get “deep” in between her Facebook posts about what she ate at Panera or how the cashier at Panera had a nose ring that “wasn’t becoming of a young lady.” At best, these boomer memes amount to little more than “phone bad.” At worst, they’re outright bigoted. But most of the time they don’t make any sense at all.
