Tips have invaded everything lately, from ticket-scalping websites to self-checkout kiosks at grocery stores. (Unfortunately, this has made people more opposed to tipping people who deserve tips, like servers and bartenders). But with record-breaking rental prices and an increasingly negative perception of landlords, this gratuity request may be the most gratuitous yet.
