While Twitter does have a convenient “Delete Post” button, your regrettable posts don’t always vanish immediately. Sometimes they live on other’s timelines even after you’ve killed them, like zombies, except instead of moaning “Braaaains!” they say significantly stupider things like “how did noah fit two whales on the ark?”
And when a deleted tweet does appear on the timeline, it says “this tweet has been deleted” below it, which reads like a punchline and makes the deleted tweet even funnier.
