Wedding flowers are the unsung heroes of every ceremony. They’re the ultimate multitaskers, from creating an Instagrammable backdrop to providing a fragrant camouflage for that one uncle’s questionable cologne. Plus you’ll have a gorgeous, petal-strewn path as you stride into marital bliss, dodging bees and sneezing guests alike.
Unfortunately, this bride-to-be didn’t have such luck with the flowers purchased for her big day. She was devastated when she discovered they looked less like a beautiful bouquet and more like unwanted weeds plucked from a garden.
That’s right. She hoped for a bouquet worthy of being tossed behind her back to eager bridesmaids. Instead, she got a bouquet worthy of being tossed in the trash.
This bride took to TikTok after being “scammed” by the florist for her wedding
TikTok user @graymor007 looked about as crushed as her flowers when the botched bouquet arrived for her wedding day.
“I ordered my bouquet online. It just came, and it’s the ugliest thing I’ve ever seen,” she says in the video.
@graymor007 DIY bouquet I guess? (Flowers shown in next vid) Never everrrrrr purchase from @hiddenbotanicsLTD 😂 wedding in T- 11 days lollllll 😰🤢. #weddingflowerfail #fyp #rip #diywedding
“I’ve been trying to get a refund, but nobody has responded to me. I was very much adamant about wanting good flowers, so I got some that were half fake and half dried. It took them six weeks to get here, and when it came, it looked like a fourth grader did it.”
She says the flower arrangement she ordered online is the “ugliest thing I’ve ever seen”
@graymor007 Gonna add florist to my resume after this. #greenscreen #worstmoneyeverspent #fakeflowers #diybouquet #ruinedflowers #lastminute
She made the video to warn other people to avoid buying from Hidden Botanics, which she asserts is a “scam.”
She adds that the flowers she bought from them is “the worst money I have ever spent.”
Commenters on the video expressed their sympathies and offered floral advice:
“Why is it so small? I would be so devastated,” said one commenter.
Another added: “Girl, get wood flowers. They look real, and they last forever. They aren’t crazy expensive.”
The bride adds that she has been unable to get a refund from Hidden Botanics.
Not all customers have had a bad experience buying from Hidden Botanics
Another newlywed who was delighted by her flowers from Hidden Botanics came to florist’s rescue. “Girl, I ordered from them and literally loved them and was absolutely terrified of this happening to me!” she said.
The bouquet she ordered cost $80 and has a 4.2-star from six customer reviews at the time of publishing.
