A bride-to-be ran into quite the cake conundrum.
Just hours before her wedding ceremony began, this bride picked up her cake only to find that the baker had completely butchered the minimalist design.
She took to TikTok to share how she salvaged the confectionary catastrophe.
This bride was devastated when a baker ruined her minimalist wedding cake design
Georgia Walker’s expectations met cold hard reality when she discovered her wedding cake had been ruined by the baker.
Worse yet, she picked up the fail cake just hours before her nuptials.
“The day before my wedding. So excited to pick up my wedding cake en route with my dog,” Georgia wrote along with a photo of herself smiling with her dog.
“Going for a more minimalist look and so happy she said she could do it from this reference,” she wrote in the next slide.
But the cake didn’t cut it.
In the next slide, she showed the monstrosity staring back at her after popping the lid on her wedding cake.
“Queue the crying,” Georgia wrote.
Netizens were shocked at how bad the cake turned out
Commenters were stunned that the baker had managed to screw up the design so badly.
One user wrote, “But your reference photo was literally so easy to do. And the buttercream looks split, too? Or did she use margarine instead of butter?”
“I’ve made like 20 cakes over the span of my life and I guarantee I can get closer to the inspo pic than that,” another person commented.
A third user added: “This is the kind of delusional confidence I wish I had in my abilities.”
Another commenter wrote: “This is actually really upsetting. It doesn’t look like they’ve even decorated a cake in their life.”
“Did you look at her other work?! I think she is not a professional,” one commenter asked, to which Georgia replied, “I swear previous cakes looked fine. I’d rather she told me the icing style wasn’t in the realm of expertise.”
Georgia says that she did not get a refund for the dastardly dessert.
Instead of accepting defeat, Georgia grabbed some icing and rolled up her sleeves…
Georgia took matters into her own hands and fixed the cake herself
Luckily, the bride-to-be managed to pull off a sweet save.
Georgia managed to fix the poorly decorated dessert by re-icing the cake.
She also added red and pink heart-shaped decorations.
TikToker Peyton Chimack also had a cake ruined by a baker who was all thumbs
Other brides are sharing their own wedding cake nightmares.
In April, the Illinois-based TikToker Peyton Chimack was heartbroken when her baker botched a Zodiac-themed cake.
Peyton wanted the words “Aries Baby” to be written in “small, cursive, middle of the cake.”
But the baker took her instructions a little too literally.
The baker iced the cake with the literal instructions, “Aries Baby (small cursive, middle of the cake),” written in the center.
Whoops!
Another TikToker, Megan Turner, shared her own cake calamity
In 2022, an Irish nurse named Megan Turner shared a photo of the cake she’d hoped to give her parents for their 30th anniversary.
Instead, she got a total amateur job…

The cake fails kept rolling in — AG Wright had a baker fix her a cake that reduced her to tears
TikToker AG Wright was almost reduced to tears upon seeing that her dessert looked like it was made in the dark.
She gave the baker some inspo pulled from the Martha Stewart Living Pinterest page.
But instead of a Martha masterpiece, she got a $550 mess…
Wright says that she was able to pull victory from the jaws of defeat and re-ice the cake before the big day started.
