I have a distinct memory of being awoken in the middle of the night to the sound of that big-eyed, fuzzy freak squawking. No matter how much you played with it or fed it or whatever, it would still spring to life at 3 am like a possessed hellspawn. Eventually, I had to take the batteries out. And while that finally stopped the noises, the memory lingers like a bad dream.
